A comprehensive, AI-powered health platform designed to bridge Nigeria's healthcare accessibility gap through telemedicine, symptom tracking, and real-time doctor consultations.
Discuss ProjectNigeria faces a severe healthcare accessibility crisis — especially in rural areas — where timely medical consultation is often unavailable, expensive, or delayed. Patients frequently resort to self-diagnosis, while doctors lack efficient tools for remote patient management.
Design a seamless, end-to-end health ecosystem that empowers users to monitor their health proactively, consult with verified doctors remotely, and receive personalized, AI-driven health insights — all within a single, intuitive platform.
Through 5 user interviews, 150+ survey responses, and observational studies we identified key pain points: patients feared misdiagnosis, doctors needed streamlined follow-up tools, and users wanted a 'health companion' not a transactional app.

Studied Ada Health, Babylon, and Medisafe. Key gaps in localization, low-data usability, and doctor-patient engagement models unique to the Nigerian context.
Created a connected ecosystem: Patient Mobile App (AI assistant Dr. Alex, appointments, symptom tracker), Doctor Web Portal (patient management, teleconsultation), Admin Dashboard (analytics, content moderation), and Health Blog Platform.
50+ users completed task-based testing. Iterated on navigation clarity, button visibility, and medical terminology. A/B tested appointment reminders — push notifications vs in-app badges.
Calm, clinical yet approachable — inspired by trusted healthcare brands. Color palette: Serene blues (#1E88E5) for trust, warm coral (#FF6B6B) for alerts, clean whites. Typography: Inter for readability. Real Nigerian users and doctors in authentic settings.
The patient app is the heart of Earthora — a health companion, not just a transactional tool. Users interact with Dr. Alex, the AI health assistant, for instant symptom analysis and personalized health insights. They book appointments with verified doctors, track health metrics, access curated wellness content, and manage their complete medical profile — all designed for low-bandwidth 3G connections across Nigeria.

The doctor-facing mobile app streamlines remote patient management on the go. Verified doctors manage their patient roster, conduct teleconsultations via secure video, review AI-generated patient summaries, and schedule follow-ups — all from a clean, clinical interface optimized for mobile. The calendar system with automated reminders achieved a 90% reduction in appointment no-shows during testing.

The public-facing website communicates Earthora's mission to bridge Nigeria's healthcare gap. A clean, trust-driven landing page converts visitors into app users with clear value propositions and social proof. The integrated health blog platform delivers curated wellness content — from nutrition guides to mental health resources — establishing Earthora as a trusted health authority.

Prototype testing with 50+ users on task-based scenarios. Weekly stakeholder syncs on monetization (subscription models) and doctor onboarding. Simplified allergy/condition logging. Enhanced symptom checker clarity for non-medical users.

Designing for healthcare requires exceptional clarity and empathy. Localization is key — from data usage to cultural trust in telemedicine. An AI assistant must complement, not replace, human doctors.
